Alps, Snow and Cloud from a Distance

2008: The 3 Hares Gallery, The Cowper amd Newton Musuem, Olney

This exhibition was about effects of light, snow, and the restriction of using only a 400m lens and fixed viewpoints.

In some images I've used snow and mist to eliminate detail and the long lens to flatten the perspective; this produces unsettling and graphic images.

In others I’ve used the long lens for landscapes as this allows a closer look at a subject but also, in evening light, it produces dramatic, and unusual images.
