Roman Brother <\/em><\/strong>finds Leo, not only freed but now adopted by his former master, settling into his new life as the second son of a wealthy Roman family. But just as things are looking good, tragedy strikes and complications set in; and then he learns that he might not have been the only survivor of the massacre of his family…<\/h4>\n

The characters we came to know and love in Slave Prince <\/em><\/strong>are all back in Roman Brother<\/em> <\/strong>– not just Leo himself but the entire Familia Eridani and their servants, and the battle-scarred, rumbustuous ex-legionary General Germanicus. New characters join them as the two boys take a trip to southern Italy with their grandfather; and then the whole family head for Britannia in pursuit of a rumour. This is again a story, a work of fiction, but as always S G Miles’ imagination and careful research create a believable historical tale, and his characters are as endearing and sympathetic as we have come to expect.<\/p>\n

And as the author says: \u2018I’ve grown to like young Leo and would love to see how he grows up, and how his relationship with Marius and his adopted family develops…’ So we might hope and expect perhaps to see more stories set around the glorious Bay of Naples in time to come!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
