plague is stalking,<br \/>\ntaking young and aged.<\/p>\n<p>Confined, we slowly fill the hours<br \/>\nwashing hands, and storing food,<br \/>\nnot looking at the flowers.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, Easter slips across the fells<br \/>\ncarried by birdsong and the<br \/>\ncountless daffodils.<\/p>\n<p>A new song breaks, so unexpected,<br \/>\nbursting hedges, green again<br \/>\nfrom winter resurrected.<\/p>\n<p>And in the fields, young lambs, eyes<br \/>\nnewly opened on the world,<br \/>\nare bleating their surprise.<\/p>\n<p>Listen now, a sound of clapping,<br \/>\npeople gathering in the street,<br \/>\nshouting, crying, laughing.<\/p>\n<p>Is this Easter, life reborn<br \/>\nlifting darkness from our hearts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/olioweb.me.uk\/spence\/?page_id=153\">NEXT
