\nI am rich in travel

\nnot moving my seat,

I am a sedentary

\nor down a cave;
\nclimbing trees in
\nsteaming heat,
\ngazing in a volcano
\nlying at my feet.<\/p>\n
The rarest animals
\nand insects roam,
\nbefore my eyes
\nand into my home.
\nLearned voices tell
\nme the facts
\nof species’ struggles
\nand desperate acts.<\/p>\n
I have seen palaces
\nturned to dust,
\nproud constructions
\nreduced to rust.
\nPassing before me
\nvast galaxies,
\ncomputer generated
\nnew fantasies.<\/p>\n
Voyeurs in space
\ntravelling the world,
\nseeing countless people
\naround us whirled.
\nHuge crowds in squares
\nchanting their rage,
\nat brutal dictators,
\nrattling their cage.<\/p>\n
Never has so much
\ncome our way.
\nNews and travel
\nfilling each day.
\nWe are true citizens
\nentitled to know
\nthe unfolding story –
\nbut not as a show.<\/p>\n
Reach out beyond
\nthe screen’s embrace,
\nand unite yourself
\nwith the human race
\nSocial media now
\nis empowering us;
\nchallenge injustice
\nout to devour us.<\/p>\n
